Where to locate the glyphs and alternates of a font?

Some fonts come with alternates and extra glyphs. Let’s have a look at how to locate these with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Illustrator

Use the Type Tool (Cmd + T) to create some text. From the Window menu, select Type > Glyphs. Now, double-click on the glyph you need to add it into your active text field. That’s all!
